I purchased this replacement bag for what seams to be the same reason as everyone else - the zipper broke on my original bag. Make sure to keep the original bag though because this new bag's adapter (the black plastic port which snaps into the blower/vac) does not fit my Toro blower/vac. you can not see it, but this adapter only has 1 clip and 'wings' on both sides. My original adapter has 2 clips. good thing it's very easy to switch out the adapter - It's just held to the bag w/ a zip tie on one side of the flange on the plastic adapter. I have pics, but do not see a link to upload in this form.

This is my first Blower/Vac of any kind so I really have no basis for comparison. I was pleased with the performance. It has a low and high setting with a thumbwheel that goes from 0 to 5 -- so essentially you have 10 different speeds -- 5 in high and 5 in low. I have a garden railroad and wanted to blow leaves out of some delicate areas and it blows leaves just fine at the lowest setting. I only have one medium size tree in my yard -- a Japanese Zelkova that has small leaves. It vacuums the leaves very well. I had it set on high and the 3 setting and it vacuumed the leaves right up -- even some of which were wet. It mulches the leaves fairly fine which allows you to get a lot more in a yard waste bag. It's difficult to tell when the attached bag Is full, you just have to guess. The bag has a zipper on the side and it empties fairly easily. If you have a huge yard with lots of trees you might want to buy another battery or just take a break and save your energy for another day. The battery has a button on the side with 4 led lights that tells you the amount of charge remaining, which I found convenient. The power didn't seem to decline a whole lot when the battery started to get discharged. The item is a little pricey but the trade off is not having to drag an extension cord all over or mix gas and oil and worry about the thing starting which is worth it to me.

Seems to be a great blower/vacuum for the price. Very powerful for its size and lightweight. The adjustable blower speed is nice. Hopefully it will withstand the test of time. Only complaint is the lack of complete instructions (it seems to have extra electrical brushes (?) in the package but no instructions on how to install them, if that's what they are.) Had a strong petroleum smell until it aired out; now it is fine. Would recommend it.

I chose this item because I needed something to pick up leaves in my yard and dispose them in a garbage can. It reduces a lot of work. It comes in a box with many parts that need to be assembled so bear in mind you need to read the instructions carefully and examine all the parts in the box to see if everything is there. Once you read the instructions, it snaps together nicely. It works as a blower as well, but it is a pretty heavy item to use as a blower. My suggestion is to use one of those light weight blowers for general leaf blowing and this one for a vacuum. I think there is an extension that one can buy to vacuum out rain gutters as well. This is something else that help a lot.
